We offer a full-day tour that leaves at 9:00 a.m. and we are generally back around 5:00 in the afternoon. Read the tour agenda to see what to expect on your trip to the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range.

 

Tour Agenda:

• Meet at the Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center (1106 Road 12, Lovell, WY) by 8:45 am.

• We climb the Pryor Mountains in a Jeep or a Dodge PowerWagon. It takes about 2 hours of amazing scenery to get up there.  The road is rugged and definitely "western".

• At the top of the mountain, we find the Pryor Mountain Wild Horses. The majority of the herd spends the summer in the upper elevations of East Pryor Mountain.  We search for them, which oftentimes is easy, but sometimes requires a bit of hiking. We enjoy their company and watch their activities. We’ll explain some behaviors as they happen and give some history of the herd and the country around you. There are lots of great photo opportunities. However, just sitting and watching is a memorable experience with or without a camera. 

• We’ll have lunch at a spot with spectacular views.

• The day goes by quickly and we head back down the mountain. Again, the tour takes around two hours down the same rugged road. .

• We will return to the Mustang Center. At this point we will finalize payment and say our good-byes!
